I had no idea that yesterday's comments were going to take such a strange turn when I planned to follow up with these photos of the First Presbyterian Church on the corner of 11th and Franklin. The church is next door to the social hall (yesterday's post), which, it seems, has had many (and varied) uses. I love the colors in this photo especially. They've been painting this church for at least a year, and the results are warm, inviting, and fun to look at.

I agree with you this yellow works well for this church, very warm. It may be Revival Gothic (I'm no architecture expert), but it has none of the heaviness I know of European Gothic. I really like all the windows, large and small, and it would be nice to see the stain glass images from the inside.
The building looks lovely in this colour and the contrast to the roofs is great.
I have no idea what the architectural style is, but I prefer the warmer tones of today's building to yesterday's. That gray is rather prison-like.
The yellow is just lovely in my opinion! Great photos, they really capture the detail.
Wow, yesterday's comments really are incredible!
Lovely architecture here and super stained glass.
Nothing like a warm yellow church. Like a beacon it beckons. And it looks so...well, Presbyterian!
Interisting colour for a church - I love the the windows, they are great!
Greetings:)
