Here is some of the interesting equipment you can still see inside Pier 39, where you can get crab live when the boats come in. Hanthorn retails crab out of a building on Pier 11. You can check out their day-to-day activity here on Facebook. Sorry, I took this photo back in April, before the season. I never seem to be at the right place at the right time, so I'll see what I can do about getting some live-action shots soon!

Hi Sheryl, I would love to boil a crab for dinner!
Give me a heads up, I always have extra butter around.
Well, I think it's a nice shot no matter it wasn't the right season and you certainly don't need to get "crabby" about it! ;-))
Thanks for your comment on Ocala DP! I've heard of other similar horses in various cities. There are over 55 in and about Ocala, and they have names and various shops sell miniature versions and tee shirts and other stuff with pictures of the horses...all of this has a name: Horse Fever.
I rather like the shot as well. I bet it looks quite different during the high season though!
Oh, a live crab party sound like great fun! With butter, and garlic, of course!!
dungeness crab are delicious anytime but better in early Spring when they are full and sweet
