July 26, 2009This is an older photo I took on the River Walk, and I've been meaning to post it for some time. I like the torn sign, the various contrasts, the bit of purple, the shadows, and the feet. And now, as of this past weekend, it would be impossible to take this photo again. The post is still there, but the pavement to the left has been resurfaced in a dark black. It simply won't be the same again.

I have been catching up on my reading after being offline for a while. What a time you have had! I like this picture as well, and the controversy over the gray building is very intriguing.
To say that one may develop an affection for minor landmarks is probably too much, but I have experienced something like this in the recent past...
