Flavel Carriage House with Flowers
The building in the center of the photo is the newly-refurbished carriage house on the grounds of the Flavel House Museum, shown several times on this blog. The pretty gray Italianate Victorian house in the background is a private home on the other side of Exchange Street from the Flavel House. The street on our right is 7th. The building now functions as the property's Visitor's Center and the administrative offices of the Clatsop County Historical Society, among other things. You can read more about the building and its history here. But it was the spring flowers that caught my attention on May 4th when I took the photo.

What a beautiful shot!
It's been years since I've seen the Flavel House ... it looks different than it did - but the same as well.
No wonder they did, it's such vibrant blue!
I really like the way you composed this...showing the house amidst all the spring glory ... and that gray house in the background.
Astoria Historical Society - wow, I'll bet that contains a multitude of interesting items!
Astoria is lovely in the Springtime as is most places. a time of beautiful flowers and people coming outside to enjoy nature's beauty.
Looks like a great day to hang around the garden;any garden.
