The Lady Washington

The Lady Washington on the Columbia River at Astoria, Oregon It's always a thrill to see the Lady Washington glide by, as she did again on Friday. You can read plenty about this venerable and beautiful ship via the link to her name.

Good grief, this is a great picture. It looks exactly like something out of a 19th century novel! Fantastic, Sheryl! Perfectly composed!

You are so right, she is a beautiful ship in any century.

I read everything about this ship and I think she is one of the few real replicas worthy of the name. Great image to the tiniest details!

It wouldn't be so nice if you were out to sea on her tonight. Does "toss your cookies mean anything to you?"

For a moment I thought you photographed a painting :) I guess it had something to do with the slightly blurred background and the beautiful ship. Nice shot.
