No red paint here

Old Sign of the Heritage Museum, Astoria, Oregon Last night I rediscovered this photo, taken on March 6, 2009. I'd been looking for it and just got lucky. On November 6, 2009, I posted an image of the same sign with its new and strikingly different look. In fact, after seeing the new look, I couldn't remember if there had been modifications to the sign other than the paint. I think someone suggested it might be a whole new sign. It's funny how memory deceives, especially when we get a new image in our heads.

Which do you like better, old (this one) or new?

The new one isn't bad, but the white version is more elegant.

I kinda like the red columns on the sign. Draws the eye. Both are nice though. Which do you prefer?
Funny how we remember something and just know there is a difference. Glad you found the pic. MB

I think the sign is elegant and so is the building, but I have never been drawn to the displays. I don't know why. I think I was only there twice in 39 years.

I remember that post of Nov. 6. I don't think I could make a decision as to which I like best without seeing them in person.

The March picture shows a more elegant sign, I think, but the November photo is brighter and more welcoming...
