This azalea bush at the bottom of the wheelchair ramp at the Post Office is one of my favorites - maybe because of the wonderful purple color, and because I pass it nearly every day. Soon the rhododendron behind it will also be in bloom. Azaleas and rhodies turn Astoria into a flowery paradise every spring. I've wanted to take a photo for the past few days, but each time I've been there, the rain has been coming down.

Great photo! The white building is a wonderful contrast to the purple, and you got the raindrops perfectly! So... patience is the key? I'll never make it!
I'm ready to catch some sign of spring, but not so lucky as you. The weather has been mild but so an so, with clouds and rain.
Very pretty. Some of our azaleas are coming out, but it's been too darn cold!
beautiful flowers:) Oh..I cannot believe you are getting these beauties already! We are still heavily coated with snow..and from our last, many of our branches and trees were broken and uprooted..crazy!
True signs of where we live. The purples are some of my favorite.
Beautiful and colorful !! Great
Wonderful, Sheryl. Love to see these colors in winter months.
The pretty Spring colors are coming out--rain or no rain. It is time. MB
The colors are nice. And I am now eager to see summer arrive here.
