Colors on the River Walk

I took this photo yesterday morning next to the Maritime Museum; the colors were a welcome sight on a gray day. The brown building behind the white car is the old train station. It's owned by the Maritime Museum, which may be using it for storage (or not), but it's currently inaccessible to the public. One of these days I'll get photos of the outside.

Amazingly, South Florida looked a lot like this for the couple of days we were there! A little warmer, though...probably.

Nice eye, Sheryl - the colors reach out and grab the viewer.

Is this fairly typical winter weather in Astoria?

It's nice when people don't let a little bit of rain keep them indoors. A perfect time to put on the coat and take a walk. Good eye on the colors too.

Yes this is definitely normal weather and sometimes it's even more exciting! Thirty to forty mph winds with 70 to 90 gusts or more. No one whose lived here very long uses an umbrella except maybe to get from car to home. They would just blow inside out. ha Hence rain hats and hoodies.

Revisiting some of your photos! Just realized that what we have here is an Oregon Beaver fan (Oregon State Uni) and an Oregon Duck fan (U.of Oregon...currently about to win the National Championship!) :) You see these colors OFTEN all over the state.
