On SE 12th Place
I found some interesting old metal things on a farm along SE 12th Place, aka the road to the airport and the UPS office. Does anyone know what this is for? There was another one with some differences in the shape of the metal bars, and it was green.
The hill in the background is Astoria's south slope, and if you enlarge the photo, you can see the Astoria Column. Unseen before the hill is the expanse of Young's Bay.

It is a cattle feeder
If so it's a rusty cattle feeder!
That's what I like to find in the USA. Wonderful!
Clatsop County courthouse is pretty ornate and impressive. With such a lovely blue sky!
Hope you are better!
Not knowing a thing about cattle or feeders, I was going to take a very wild guess that it was an upside-down top of a small lighthouse... :-D I told you it was wild...
Way out of my league. Glad they cleared it up for us.
The first thing that came to my mind is that it looks like the top of an old grain silo.
But what an artistic UHM (Unidentified Hunk of Metal) you have found!
I have no idea what the IMTs are. But they are interesting!
