Astoria, Oregon ~ January 23, 2010
I took a lot of photos on a long walk last January when Francisca was visiting. For some reason - maybe the lighting - a lot of them were usable. Here's a pretty home on a large piece of open land just before you go into the forest on the way to the top of Coxcomb Hill to see the Astoria Column. There was plenty of filtered sun that day. This was one of the cloudier moments, as I remember.

That was such a totally brilliant walk! Not least because of the great company! And I just realized I have a treasure trove of photos from the walk that I haven't even gone through yet! Aack! The photos get taken faster than they can be processed and used. This is a super shot of this house.
Looks like a dream house. Great picture of it!
Love this post, all about it!
Isnt that the "carriage house" of the old Henry Barbey place?
It's not only a beautiful house but it's on top of a hill which, in my humble opinion, is the bestest place to live! ;-)
Great shot, too
I can see you and Francisca ambling along shooting everything in sight! Great fun, right?
@Jacob - we had a BLAST! It was a magical day when everything was just right.
I often check old photos and it happens that I like some of them to the point of posting them even after months. I am not sure if this is correct DP policy, you did right specifying the date. By the way, a great picture!
