Fall is not only in the air, it's also on the ground at the post office. Although this photo could be anywhere, for me it feels like Astoria - our own brand of damp leaves, the grass still living and green in November, and the pebbled wet sidewalks. . . .

A gutter full of dreams...although as these leaves expend their last few moments on the wet pavement, new life in already beginning in the trees ready to burst into glorious new foliage in just a few months.

I can FEEL autumn in this photo... and I'm sitting in the tropics! So, no, this photo could not be taken just anywhere. I miss this season, and the West Coast, sometimes.
