Astoria, Oregon ~ June 25, 2011
It's been very cold here with pouring rain and sometimes-very-gusty winds . . . and it's just the beginning. Although I love winter here in Astoria, there will be many days I'll reflect not only on the colors of summer, but on the fruit that won't be available in the co-op until next spring. I'm getting hungry. Many thanks to Parker for loaning today's photo for the blog.

On wet dark gray days I need to see the colors of summer too. We don't get many strawberries here, and when we do, I don't want to pay the outrageous price for imports.
Don't leave those blueberries anywhere near me!
That fruit looks mighty good, Sheryl. We still have fresh strawberries and blueberries, but they aren't all that good in the supermarket.
We're heading south on Tuesday, and I'll probably be off-line for awhile. So, we wish you a very Happy Thanksgiving!
Looks like you put those out for me to put on my oatmeal. Tell Parker that that is a really nice composition.
Too much gloom without some cheery things around can really put a damper on the way people feel.
That's one of the reasons I live in sunny SoCal...
