We had a rare peek inside the old Armory building owned by Columbia River Maritime Museum. Built in 1941 there are decades of memories packed into this space. It has an unusual lamellar ceiling structure.
Yes, it was a great tour, and the building has amazing possibilities. The lamella roof is really interesting. Some quick research shows that both the Astrodome and the Superdome have lamella roofs. What a great community resource this could become! I'm especially excited about the possibility of street hockey (or even roller or "ice" hockey) in the building!
