There used to be a Suomi Synod Lutheran Church. Guess what, they were Finnish. That synod has been melded into the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.
Modification of previous comment: The Suomi Synod joined the LCA (Lutheran Church in America) which was later party to the merger resulting in the ELCA.
