WHAT: Calling all Astorians and those who have visited and taken photos. To celebrate reaching 900 Facebook Fans, "Astoria, Oregon, Daily Photo" is running a contest all through October.
HOW: Just e-mail me your photos of Astoria or surrounding countryside, sights, just about anything, and I will be posting lots of guest photos throughout October. They do NOT need to be current. Send info about the pic if needed and any link you would like me to include in your post - this could be good advertising for your biz, a link to your Facebook Page, your online photo albums, your blog, whatever.
HOW TO WIN: At the end of October, I will choose a winning photo. Don't worry about criteria, let's just say it will have appeal of some kind :) Enter as often (as many photos) as you'd like.
PRIZES: First prize is a gift certificate for an item or items of approximately $30.00 value at The Animal Store (now only online, but you can come by to collect your gift). There will be three runners-up. Prizes are $10.00 worth of merchandise each. Items in The Animal Store make great gifts. The end of October is not far from the year-end holiday season! Get some of your shopping done for the price of e-mailing a digital photo.
WHY: Celebrating 900 Facebook Fans was the excuse. The real reason for the contest is that I thought it would be fun for readers of "Astoria, Oregon, Daily Photo" (and for me, too) to see different perspectives on our town and our area.
