Yes, it's a Dog Meets Dog World. This is another of my favorite shots of a dog meeting his likeness created by artist Ronni. I am posting this one in honor of the Dog Day Afternoon event taking place this Sunday at the Market.

Whose Doors are These?
Love these doors and the stained glasswork above! This is the Astoria Event Center. The Astoria
Event Center and adjacent Shipyard Bar & Grill was built in 1924 after the
disastrous fire of December 1922. The
facility was purchased in 2007 by Fred and Chrissy VanHorn, who invested a
great deal into the redevelopment of the interior. New owners are taking over at the end of the month and the facility will be managed by my newly formed company, Columbia Bar Productions, LLC! </end of shameless plug>

Fish On!
It's Buoy 10 time in Astoria! The town is full of fishermen this time of year as they try their hand at fishing the Columbia River. This photo was taken off the deck of a hotel room at Astoria Riverwalk Inn.

Bloomin' in Astoria
This is one of my favorite home gardens. I love that the yard is filled with flowers instead of a lawn.

Rock Formations
People seem to enjoy creating odd rock formations at the beach for others to discover and enjoy. These are two in a series of six or so formations I found one day while exploring the South Jetty.

River Walk
Guest Blogger Karen Allen was playing with her camera phone during a stroll down the River Walk and sent a number of photos. This is one of my favorites from that series. Karen Allen and her husband Steve own the Wet Dog Cafe and Astoria Brewing Company. Truly wonderful people!
