This photo was originally posted on Long Beach Peninsula Photo, the blog with the great subtitle, on April 21, 2013. Amy wrote, "The Peter Iredale wrecked on October 25, 1906. Fortunately, there was no loss of life. The Iredale has been on my photographic bucket list for a few months. Although it’s been photographed thousands of times over the past century, it still manages to inspire the imaginations of photographers. The day I went was no exception; there were at least seven other people photographing it while I was there."

Hello Everyone,
This is Sheryl. I want to thank Cyndi Mudge for her time, effort, and vision in keeping this blog going and posting her visual record of Astoria for most of the past year. Even though we all live in the same town, it's always fascinating to see what interests different photographers or how they view the same locations. It's been fun to see Astoria through the eyes of another person. 
I will be posting a number of my own photos again, and I am also interested in finding other photographers who would like a showcase for a week's worth of their images. I will be having guest weeks, so send me your photos any time. Or if you have fewer than seven, that can work, too. If you took that one great shot that you'd like everyone to see, send it along :-) I won't have space for absolutely everything, but I do want to showcase photos by people other than myself.
