Typical winter colors around here, although taken a couple of years ago. Young's Bay blends with the 4-mile-wide Columbia River somewhere in the right-hand side of this photo.
There is certainly some color trying to pierce through the cloud layer...but in spite of "typical winter colors" it is a beautiful panorama. I don't think I've seen that bridge from such a viewpoint before. Gives one an entirely new perspective!
It's a beautiful soft and clear evening shot of Young's Bay Bridge and Columbia River, Sheryl. Just goes to show how a little pink in the sky can make a gray winter scene appealing.

wow I love seeing this picture as a reminder that Astoria and the North Coast is an extraordinary place.
