Big Trees on the Trail

Fort Columbia, Washington ~ November 6, 2004

Across the river and west a few miles from Astoria is Fort Columbia, and behind the fort buildings are several hiking trails, at least one of them going up rather steeply among fallen trees.

    The hiking trails, the few that we have, are so boring. Nothing like the one's in your area.

    I would love to hike there...oops, you said it was steep. I'd probably have to go slow at my age!
