Ferns grow almost anywhere, including out of the moss that clings to a cement beam over the river. One could talk about nature reclaiming its own, but all I really had on my mind is that they were bright green and pretty.
Fern are tough little critters. It doesn't take much for them to sprout just about anywhere. Good catch though. This would have been a good shot for last months "contrast" theme.
I love this shot ! God's beautigful world can never be stopped. Grow where you are planted!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty-- the delicate fern is so vibrant against the monochromatic background. I love our stubborn, prolific native species!
ReplyDeleteYes, very pretty. I'm surprised they are so green at this time of the year!

ReplyDeleteI agree with Dom and Krise, ferns are really like that, almost a signal that something is going wrong for a building. Nice image, green on grey!
ReplyDeleteThe nature is fantastic. Another day I put a similar plant in my photo blog. Your's is beautifull.

I thought this kind of thing happened only in Florida! We've got ferns growing up inside of our palm trees!
ReplyDeleteFunky shot, Sheryl!
Once again you show us how you make so much out of small detail. I am always so proud of your talent.
ReplyDeleteWe love your part of the world; your site is great!
ReplyDeleteI always like the sweet little ferns that grow in the most unusual places. Good shot. MB
ReplyDeleteThis is absolutely beautiful! I love ferms -- the texture, the shape, the details.
