  2. Great shot indeed, but not so cool or funny when you need to get down that dock to your boat and they rather aggressively refuse to move!

  3. I've had the opportunity to spend time in amazing Astoria in the past few months and personally, I think these guys are so great! Of course, I don't have a boat docked there either as the previous commentor noted. lol Anyway, thanks for sharing another view and showing others the ins and outs of your charming city. Aloha!

    I like them too, but they are definitely aggressive. I was about eight feet away from one on the next dock over and he made it known if I got too close. After I took this photo, I waited to see how a guy off of one of the boats was going to get by them. He had a rope with a large rubber object at the end that he held out towards them. They noisily parted way.

  6. I remember when those things first arrived here. We killed so many but they kept coming, then the stupid federal government banned shooting them and they took over. They represent all the negative changes that have happened to the lower river country with the invasion of all things California-pinipeds and people.
