Morning mist

Morning Mist - Old Anchor at the Maritime Museum, Astoria, Oregon This morning I spotted a lone dog-walker just behind the Martime Museum at the foot of 17th Street. That's Tongue Point in the background. The distances are interestingly skewed because of the zoom lens.

  2. Dear Sheryl - I think this is one of your finest photographs! It's dramatic; powerful, even. The sky (and trees?) are a perfect backdrop to that huge anchor and the man and do give it scale.

    Superb job!

  6. Perfect silhouetted shot, I love the way the zoom lens tricks this perspective, you used it very well.
I am curious to know if that bulk in background are trees or something else, they seem to touche the low clouds. Again, spectacular shot!
